Periodic Health Check

NetGain agent, by default, checks its status for every 15 minutes.  If it is not running,  it will automatically restart the agent.  The default health check period is configurable and it can be configured by using the below property.

agent.restart.health_check_period=<health check period>

where <health check period> is the amount of time in minutes

For Windows:

The property should be configured in the agent server at

<NetGain Agent Installation Directory>\agent.properties

Example:

For UNIX:

The property should be configured in the agent server at

 <NetGain Agent Installation Dir>\agent.properties

Example:

Once configured, NetGain agent needs to be restarted.

 Inactivity Check

NetGain agent, by default, checks its activity for every 30 minutes.  If there is no activity with agent from NetGain EM for the past 30 minutes,  it will automatically restart the agent.  The default inactivity check period is configurable and it can be configured by using the below property.

agent.restart.no_activity_period=<inactivity check period>

where <inactivity check period> is the amount of time in minutes

For Windows:

The property should be configured in the agent server at

<NetGain Agent Installation Directory>\agent.properties

Example:

For UNIX:

The property should be configured in the agent server at

 <NetGain Agent Installation Dir>\agent.properties

Example:

Once configured, NetGain agent needs to be restarted.

Verification:

            To verify whether the configuration takes effect, need to check the agent log.
